I heart Tina Fey

When there's nothing exciting going on in my life, I turn to tv. I am in love with Tina Fey, as always. She's so smart and so funny. I love her to death. And I can't get enough of her impersonation of Sarah Palin. This is the most recent sketch they did on Saturday Night Live just yesterday.

Polish Festival

So the Nix and I went to the Polish Fest at the Shrine of Chestahova. That's not how you spell it, but I'm not going to attempt it. I remember going here when I was little. But for some reason, it was a ton more fun back then. Haha. I guess it's b/c I don't go on fair rides anymore. Well, Nix went in to the "religious artifacts" store, or as I called it, "the gift shop." But she advised me that they don't call it that for obvious reasons. So she got a charm and a bookmark thing. And there's a priest chillin outside the store. So she goes over to get it blessed. And for some reason, priests hate me. I was behaving and wearing something appropriate (my black PLAIN baseball t-shirt). So as Nikki said afterwards, we ran in to the Patron Saint of Sarcasm. She says, "Hi, I would like to get this blessed." And in a weird tone he looked up at her and goes, "Well, that's what I'm sitting here for." lol I had to try not to laugh. So he takes the stuff and reads some prayer off this card. Which we were wondering why he doesn't have it memorized by now, he's only said it a million times that day. But anyway, after he's done, he looks up at Nikki and goes, "I'll bless you too." And shakes the little water thing right in her face. I start cracking up and he looks over at me and goes, "You need it too." And he flings the water about 5 feet to where I was standing. We didn't know if we were supposed to bless ourselves or if it even really counted since it was coated with such extreme sarcasm. lol Then we said, "K thanks" all confused-like and he had to add, "And stay out of trouble." If we were going to get in trouble, do you think we'd be hanging out at the Shrine of Chestahova!?!? We laughed about it on the way home. It was a good time. Here's some pics!

Nikki with her huge meat.

On the phone with my dad b/c my Comcast video just got on tv. Or as Nikki says, "I'm calling the pope on his cell."

Dana's favorite ride when we were little. I went on it one time and was sick for about 5 weeks afterwards. Hate it.

Comcast

My stand up is on Comcast On Demand now for everyone to watch. If you have Comcast, go to On Demand. Select Get Local, then Comedy. You'll see my name listed there and you watch it! It's 6 minutes of me making fun of my parents. And they blurred out my shirt. I was just wearing a Nine Inch Nails shirt and there wasn't anything offensive on it. I guess it was too much for them to handle. So now there's a big blur on me the whole time. Plus they cut out the beginning part of my set and they beeped "goddam" a couple times. Whatever! Facists! lol So once I get the dvd of it, I'll try to put it online. But until then, it will be availabe on demand until 11/28/08. So go check it out and tell me what you think!!!

Wawapalooza 2: Get Shorti

So Wawapalooza 2 came and went. It was so much fun this year. We really have a fun time together doing the show. And all 5 shows for the Fringe Festival sold out just like last year. And we've been told that having a show 2 years in a row where every single show sells out is unheard of. So we're so happy and so grateful. It's really just a bunch of kids hanging out and having fun doing something they put together that they thought was funny. I uploaded the video that we did in the summer called Owen vs. Ikea. I reprise my role of "Conor". Last year I worked at the Verizon store and tortured Owen when he was trying to get his cell phone bill fixed. This year I work at Ikea and torture Owen when he's trying to figure out who is going to assemble his living room coffee table. It's Ikea, you gotta do it yourself! Hilarity ensues. Haha. Well, I don't know right now what's planned next, but they are thinking of doing a best of Wawapalooza with the best of both shows together in December. So we'll see.

NIN

Ok so I saw Nine Inch Nails last night in NY. I had to go to the NY show b/c they're playing in Philly the same night that Wawapalooza starts. But it was an amazing show! Rachel and I got there right before NIN went on. So we skipped the opening act. Which is fine by me b/c I hate opening acts. They put on the greatest light/video stage show I've ever seen. He really put a lot in to it. And two hours later, I was satisfied. I was bitching about how tickets were $75, but it was worth every penny. After seeing all the tech that went in to it, I can see why they cost so much. I wasn't able to take pictures b/c we were too far away. So I stole some off the band's website.

During this part, they just had the three guys with synths and did songs from Year Zero. Which is just crazy noises and sounds that make songs. So it was really cool to see as compared to the regular band playing.

This part was my favorite. These lights hung down and then during the chorus they would start swinging around.

He released a cd called "Ghosts I-IV" and it was all instrumental. So during this part, he came out and did a couple songs from it and it was so awesome. Just to sit and watch was so cool. They had all these orchestral instruments and it was amazing.

This part was awesome. This video screen came down with these squares. The drummer came and pushed a couple of them and they turned red. Then a little white square would go from left to right and everytime it would hit the red part, it would be a drum beat. And he lined it up just right to play the drums for the song that the rest of the band started playing. It was so cool!

There was so many other things that he did that there are no pictures of. There was one time where the screen came down in front of the band and it was all snow like on a tv. And when he walked up close to it, it would clear and you could see him behind it. Then he would take his hand and "throw" the clear part over to his bandmates standing next to him. It was wild! I loved it!

Pink is the new blog.

I'm writing in pink for a reason! I found out today that Tim and Rebecca are having a girl! So this is exciting. We all knew they were gonna have a girl. My mom called it a while ago. So I'm going to be an uncle for the first time. And not only that, but I am also going to be the godfather. So this is a lot for me to handle and it's not even my baby! But I will say that this will be a very spoiled kid. Haha I was hoping that I was going to be buying boy's stuff b/c that's easy. So I might need some help buying little girl things. (I'm looking at you, Dana.)

Comedy and such.

It's the middle of August. This is a crazy month. I had my show at Comix in NY last Saturday. It went really well and I even ordered the dvd. So I'm excited to have a new video with some new stuff on it. I'm due for a new one since the two of my stand up online are old and boring! And this Friday, I will be taping another set for Comcast on demand. I'm very excited. I got new stuff for that too. I'm thinking about trying out a new joke that I just wrote last week about my parents. I told them about it and made sure it was ok with them. My mom said alright but I know that she's a little nervous. My dad doesn't care. But judging from the last time I was on Comcast, he'll be happy. Everywhere we went, he had to ask people if they had Comcast, and if they did, he would put it on. lol Example: At Chrissy's for Aiden's birthday and my family gathered in her living room watching it. Where was I? The back porch hiding. I hate that! Hey Dana, remember the very first time I did stand up and you taped it and they all watched it at Chrissy's old house and me and you hung out outside? lol I couldn't even be in the house. Haha I do watch them in private b/c I'm critiquing myself and working on how to make it better. Judging every word, movement, facial expression. It's sick.

At the end of the month is Wawapalooza 2. I really hope it turns out well. I've been going to rehearsals a lot and it's fun and we crack each other up. I just hope the audience has the same reaction to it as we do. I'm doing my stand up all about relationships and my views on them. lol I'm sure you can just imagine. I apologize to any exes who feel some familiarity in the jokes. I don't mention names.

On top of that, I have the Faint concert on Sunday and Nine Inch Nails on the 27th. So I'm happy. Those are two of my favorite bands to see live. September will be quiet, and October is going to be insane! I can't wait for October. There's Kymm and Kevin's wedding. Ayla will be visiting, which I'm most excited for. (Sorry Dana.) Halloween. Nikki will be moving in. It will just be a whirlwind of excitement. And I'll try to post it all on my blog!

Goin to the groc!

So here's how it started. I'm talking to Dana in email. We already planned on going grocery shopping (or groc as we say on the street, pronounced grosh). So I said, "I feel like such a loser. I'm going to the groc on a Friday night." Dana says, "Bring a camera and we'll take pics and put it on our blog. We'll make it fun!" When I pulled out the camera she goes, "Oh, you really brought it?" Heck yeah I did! And here we go.......

Dana wanted me to take a pic of her boobs. She told me herself. haha I'm kidding. She actually yelled at me.

There was a family in front of us that had a million kids and they ordered about 5,000 lbs of cheese. See all that? And the guy was working on the 4th pile.

My new Ed Hardy shirt! I love it. I want another.

I've been eyeing up those damn Chocolate Chex for weeks now. I caved and got it. I never eat cereal anymore!

Sometimes Dana takes her time picking out what she wants. Here we are figuring out what granola bars to get. Dana is in full serious concentration. She had no idea I was taking the pic.

Dana pointed out that the popcorn says "OMG Cholesterol!" Like they were so excited that they had cholesterol in it. Haha lolzers!

I was hoping for a reenactment of the fallen yogurt from last time. She managed to get a good grip on them all. As you can see, I had the camera ready.

Shut up, these are fn awesome!

While we were hoping for some Levittown shirts, they had a bunch of USA olympic ones. These fancy USA shirts come with the stains already on them! So you can either keep it or add some of your own!

Dana's back seat stocked with bags.

'Til next time!

The Dark Knight

Amazing Amazing Amazing Amazing! Seriously one of the best movies I have seen. We went to the Imax in King of Prussia and now I don't want to see a movie in the normal theaters anymore. I wish I owned The Dark Knight on video so I can watch it a million more times. I already have plans to see it again this week. And on top of all that, it now has the highest opening weekend gross of all time! Beating Spider Man 3. Take that Kirsten Dunst!

Knoebels

Ok I had the best time at Knoebels. It's the happiest place on earth! Haha. I just loved camping and being in the park and the food. Everything! We got two camp sites together. There was 7 of us. Me, Kymm, Kevin, Eve, Randy, Kymm's cousin Michelle and her boyfriend Chris.

Kevin's tent is humungous! I got to stay in what we called the "guest bedroom."

Potato wedges....

Pierogies!! Love it!
Kymm was scared, so she videotaped the haunted house instead of keeping her eyes open.
The log flume.
The north pole that is made of ice all year round.

It rained late on Sunday. But luckily it slowed down enough for us to have a fire.
The Twister that we went on 23059756 times!

This ride was crazy. You had to keep rocking back and forth until you flipped all the way around. We managed to make it all the way around a couple times.
Collecting the rings on the carousel.
This was one of my favorite rides when I was younger. I don't know why b/c it hurt like hell.
I'm calling out for help. Hahaha
